Now that you have rule 1 & 2 understood, you’re ready for some specific ideas about what children need most to thrive and how to parent from the heart.  This rule is all about keeping the parent-child relationship safe and trusting.  So often as parents we want our children to obey and behave, but we forget that we have to behave also!  Keeping our own emotions in check and balance will be the key that makes the real difference.  Fear based parenting is never a successful option. It may, sometimes, work in the short run, but a child who lives with fear cannot thrive. And look out teenage years!
