Parenting skills

There are 3 essential rules of communication that parents ignore to their parenting peril:

1) Tone of voice: when speaking to a child – even in most reprimand cases – the voice should be mellow and slow, not high, loud or fast

2) Proximity: if you want your child’s attention you need to be close – within an arms length of them

3) Face: if you want your child to be influenced by what you say you need to have your eye brows lifted and a smile on your face as you speak.

Give it a go . . . it works almost like magic!
