This full day workshop was developed by internationally renowned developmental psychologist, Dr Gordon Neufeld, and is offered under licence from the Neufeld Institute, Canada.
This workshop looks at the underlying issues of why teaching is getting harder, not easier. With all the knowledge, resources, curriculum improvements, equipment, teacher training etc. why is it that teaching is getting less results and taking so much more effort? There are real answers to this question and real solutions too.
Power to Teach workshop has four sessions which include:
- Three Natural contexts that empower the teacher
- The role of ‘stuckness’ in learning and behaviour
- Why the immature need to be attached to their teachers (and why we have so many more ‘immature’ children in our classrooms today)
- How to harness the power of attachment so you can teach these children
Hear what teachers are saying about this course:
“Just a quick note to say my two teachers Justine and Su absolutely loved the workshop you held yesterday. Both have come to work today motivated and enthuised. Justine has already put into practice what she has learnt from yesterday with two children this morning and has had positive responses.
I am looking forward to sending more teachers” ~ Lee, Centre Director
“I think this course needs to be shared with teachers country wide!” ~ Kerri
“What an informative workshop. I spent most of the session relating the information to my daughter and myself. I feel empowered to ‘tackle’ her emotions now, to help her and myself.” ~ Sharon
“This course gave me hope for early childhood” ~ Karen
“I came to understand the importance of turning mad to sad and the food was yummy too” ~ Yvonne
“I would like to send all my teachers to this course” ~ Principal
